Alex Soros, the son of billionaire philanthropist George Soros, expressed his excitement over Zohran Mamdani’s victory in New York’s mayoral race, proudly declaring that “the American Dream continues.” However, for many, it’s the dream of socialism taking over America’s largest cities.
"So proud to be a New Yorker! The American dream continues! Congratulations, Mayor Zohran Mamdani,” Soros wrote alongside a picture of himself and Mamdani.

Soros's praise comes as no surprise. His family has poured millions of dollars into left-wing movements across the U.S., helping install prosecutors, mayors, and lawmakers who promise "equity" but deliver chaos.
Mamdani’s victory is being framed as a democratic triumph, but the reality looks more like a carefully engineered transition toward a managed society — one in which elections still occur, but the outcomes serve the same centralized agenda.
It's not democracy; it's data-driven control wrapped in feel-good slogans about justice and equality.
With Mamdani’s victory, the Soros dynasty has tightened its grip on one of the world's most powerful cities.
In 2023, George Soros handed control of the family’s $25 billion–plus philanthropic enterprise, which bankrolls leftist causes and is otherwise known as the Open Society Foundations, to his son.
In August, President Donald Trump called for George and Alex Soros to be prosecuted under the Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations (RICO) Act for their alleged support of violent protests in the United States.
“George Soros and his wonderful radical-left son should be charged with RICO because of their support of violent protests and much more all throughout the United States of America,” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
“We’re not going to allow these lunatics to rip apart America anymore. We're not going to give them the chance to 'BREATHE' and be free.”
