Yes, Trump, as they call it, “took” the election, but there are two months of inactivity ahead, and anything can happen during this period. Moreover, Trump's opponents from the Democratic Party have passed the shock after the announcement of the voting results, and they do not intend to give up their positions.
The fact that U.S. citizens gave preference to the Republican Party, delegating to it both the post of president and the majority in both houses of Congress - the House of Representatives and the Senate - means nothing now. There is plenty of time before the inauguration of the new president to “play a different game,” and the new composition of Congress will be approved only after the New Year, in the first days of January 2025.
To explain why the author sees exactly this prospect, I will give several arguments. And the first of them is that in the U.S. over the past few years, a real struggle for Power has begun. If for decades we have been saying that the swings in the transition of power from Democrats to Republicans and back again did not change anything radically in the politics of the United States, then in the context of the financial and economic crisis that unfolded in 2008 and grew into a complex social, military and political crisis, the question of Power has become the central issue. And the fissure between the interests of the Dems and the Repubs, which emerged in the early 2010s, only became more noticeable, and the contradictions only hardened.
We wrote back in 2011: “What has been happening in the U.S. Congress in recent weeks - the battle between Republican lawmakers and their Democratic colleagues and the Obama administration over raising the U.S. debt ceiling - has been called various things. And “political struggle”, and “Hollywood scenario with an invariable happy ending”, and “an attempt to save the economy”, and “blackmail of world markets”, and “the struggle of industrial and financial lobbies of America” ... Indeed, we have not seen such fierce battles on Capitol Hill in recent years. And, in our firm belief, this fierceness is caused by the fact that many people in the U.S. at the level of decision-makers have already started looking for a way out of the economic system built on debts and credits, which sooner or later will lead the U.S. to collapse... Hence - the clash of political forces and nervous tension of numerous spectators of the unfolding drama. Now we are entitled to make a judgment that it is the contradictions between “financiers” and “manufacturers” that have become one of the reasons for the current fight in Congress”.
These contradictions were growing in the USA, and soon Donald Trump became the frontman of the “producers”, but his first arrival in the White House ended in a fiasco - the “financiers” did not want to share the Power. They do not want to share the power and now, having made their political base the party of Democrats. Moreover, they intend - in any case, this goal has not been removed - to achieve their absolute Power in the USA. The American press has documented this intention of the Dems and the financial forces behind them in numerous publications. Real Clear Politics last year wrote: “The Democrats seem intent on establishing one-party rule in the United States - they hope to use their slim majority in Congress to rewrite the rules governing our elections so that the Democratic Party is entrenched in power for decades to come... If that happens, Abraham Lincoln's Grand Old Party could collapse because the Republicans will never have any hope of regaining their majority in Congress or controlling the White House in Soo This is a constitutional coup d'etat, pure and simple!
The Washington Times also ran an article titled “The Democrats' Plan for America's Transition to a One-Party State,” in which it stated, “The Democratic Party has lost interest in America as a democracy... Its goal is to transition America to a one-party state.”
And now the dream of the Democrats and the “financiers” who feed them about getting total Power over the USA is crumbling before our eyes! Naturally, they were in shock for the first days after the announcement of the election results in favor of Trump and the entire Republican Party, and found themselves, to use boxing terms, “knocked down” and even in a “state of grogginess”. But they are slowly recovering and have already started to counterplay - their future is at stake. And it is not rosy at all, both for Democrats and “financiers” for the simple reason that Trump has chosen a young and promising J.D. Vance as his vice-president, who has all chances to become the next POTUS - president - in 2029 - for two presidential terms until 2038!
J.D. Vance gives the impression of a very savvy rising politician - just look into his intelligent eyes, different from the blank stares of the current Washington administration figures, to assess who might replace Trump if he holds the presidency. But, that's exactly what's not yet clear. It is one thing to win a majority of the electoral votes, but it is another thing in the current politically explosive environment in Washington to safely enter the Oval Office of the White House. That today, truly, is “two big differences.” Trump got the right to Power, but not the Power itself. And in the current conditions of the Great American Fight, such “nuances” can play a decisive role. And they have already begun to manifest themselves.
Not even a week after the election, The Hill newspaper, which is published by the Dems in Washington, publishes information of this kind: “Trump transition ‘already breakingthe law’ ”. The law in question is the Act of... 1799(!) and it can be used to arrange a jail sentence of up to three years. Michael Flynn, who served as an adviser to President Donald Trump for some time, was “burned” under this law for having been in contact with the Russian ambassador to Washington, Sergey Kislyak, in December 2016 - before Trump took office, a few weeks before the inauguration, as evidenced by the transcripts of Flynn and Kislyak's conversations published by U.S. intelligence agencies. And, therefore, he violated the “transition rules” that prohibit working contacts with foreigners until Inauguration Day - in the U.S., until that day, power is in the hands of the previous president. So, the law, though “with a beard,” works when necessary.
So, “The Hill” writes: “Senator Elizabeth Warren (Democrat from Massachusetts) said Monday, November 11, that President-elect Trump and his transition team are already violating the transition law... Democratic Congressman Jamie Raskin also expressed concern in a letter to Trump and Vice President-elect J.D. Vance that ”their campaign has failed to reach an agreement with the federal government on the presidential transition.” Raskin warned that the delay could have an “unfavorable impact on next year's transition of power”(sic!).
“The Hill” does not directly name the reason for such a sharp excitement of the Dems, but others have written about it - the wave rose after ‘The Washington Post’ published information about the alleged ‘conversation between Trump and Putin,’ as well as reports about numerous conversations between Trump and foreign leaders, during which Trump touched on specific aspects of U.S. foreign policy. And the U.S. began to actively discuss all this, although from the Kremlin side there was a refutation of the “conversation” deze from Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov, who said: “This is completely untrue. This is pure fiction, that is, it is simply false information.”
And Trump will have to justify himself. Moreover, not only in this case. The same “The Hill” - the Dems have clearly “taken the bull by the horns” - publishes another material from which it is clear that none of the enemies feel piety before the president-elect - “Trumpcivilcases could trudge on in the wake of presidentialvictory” (“Civil cases against Trump could continuein thecourts after his victory in the presidential election”). The paper savoringly writes: “Trump faces a fine of more than half a billion dollars... The former president is also bound by a civil lawsuit filed against him after the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol... All of this leaves open the possibility of litigation during Trump's second term - and a high chance that his personal coffers could be emptied despite his ascension to the nation's highest office.”
And further, New York Attorney General Letitia James (Democrat) said: “No matter what the next Trump administration offers us, we are ready. Despite what has happened on the national stage, we will continue to stand upright in the face of injustice, vengeance, and retribution.” Hear that - “standing up in the face of vengeance and retribution”!
“Mr. Trump's election to the presidency in no way alters the fact, established by two separate juries, that he committed sexual assault; nor the applicable legal principles under which he was held accountable for that conduct,” said attorney Robbie Kaplan, who is handling the ‘rape case’ charged against Trump. Do you hear that - “Mr. Trump's election to the presidency changes nothing”!
The rising - yet legal - wave of resistance from the Dems could change a lot of things, up to and including convicting Trump before Inauguration Day. Especially since the Flynn precedent is in front of everyone's eyes. Especially since Robert Kennedy Jr, who has switched from the Dems to the Trump camp, the other day said of “revolution” in the U.S. “I recently spent two days with Trump, and he said things that shocked me a little bit.... He wants a real revolution, and I'm sure he will achieve it.” And any revolution is a change of Power.
Here you have another confirmation that now the main issue in America is the question of Power. And the Power is not taken in such a hurry - in the period from November 5 to January 20. And if Trump intends to make a “revolution,” it would do him no harm to reread the classic - “Yesterday was early, but tomorrow will be late. And there is nothing to say about “the day after tomorrow” - Trump may be really late.....
