EU opens probe into Nasdaq, Deutsche Boerse over ‘collusion’

On Thursday, the EU announced a formal antitrust probe against stock exchange operators Nasdaq and Deutsche Börse for possible collusion involving financial derivatives.

The European Commission said it suspects that Nasdaq, headquartered in the US, and Deutsche Boerse, headquartered in Germany, “may have entered into agreements or concerted practices not to compete” in the EU when dealing with certain derivatives.
