CDC Planning Large Scale Study Into Link Between Vaccines & Autism

The US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is planning a large-scale study into the relationship between vaccinations and autism.

Preparation for the study, which is the first of its kind from the CDC, was confirmed to Reuters by “two sources familiar with the matter.”

InfoWars reports: In a joint statement on Friday, HHS and CDC said that massive increases in the rate of autism demand a comprehensive investigation of all possible causes, including vaccination.

“CDC will leave no stone unturned in its mission to figure out what exactly is happening,” the statement said.

“The American people expect high quality research and transparency and that is what CDC is delivering.”

At this stage, it’s unclear what the involvement of Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert F. Kennedy Jr. will be in the study.

Last week, Secretary Kennedy published an opinion piece via Fox News in which he praised vaccination, in response to a measles outbreak on in Texas and New Mexico, but crucially he also stated that vaccination should be a matter of personal choice.

Autism rates have skyrocketed in the US in recent decades. Currently, 1 in 36 children in the US is diagnosed with autism, up from 1 in 150 children just 20 years ago.

Some possible factors to explain the rise that have been proposed include better awareness and screening for the condition, changes in diagnostic criteria and environmental or genetic factors.

A recent study suggested that glyphosate exposure could be a key ingredient in the autism epidemic sweeping the US. Glyphosate is the active ingredient in Roundup, one of the most popular herbicides in the world.

Recent research has shown that glyphosate inhibits the body’s production of melatonin, which makes glyphosate a strong candidate for causing many of autism’s most distinctive symptoms, including “increased dendritic spine density, missing or thin corpus callosum, and reduced bone density.”

Since 1974, it’s estimated that at least 1.6 billion kg of glyphosate has been used in the US, or roughly 20% of total global usage of the chemical.

A 2022 study showed that 81.2% of Americans over the age of 6 have detectable levels of glyphosate in their urine.

Another recent study suggested a clear link between exposure to the plasticizer bisphenol A and autism.

Boys exposed to higher BPA levels in late pregnancy were 3.5 times more likely to have autism symptoms by the age of 2 that boys whose mothers had lower levels of BPA in their urine, and six times more like to have a verified autism diagnosis by the age of 11.
