An 11-year-old CBS News report has resurfaced in which scientists admit that the U.S. government use lasers to manipulate the weather.
The CBS This Morning segment is being revisited in the wake of Biden pushing back against weather modification claims from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.), insisting on Wednesday the government doesn’t have the ability to control the weather.
In the report, physicist Michio Kaku admitted that extremely high-voltage lasers could be used to influence weather events, including causing rain and lightning.
Infowars.com reports: “That’s right. Well, as Mark Twain once famously said, ‘Everyone complains about the weather, but no one ever does anything about it.’ Well, instead of doing a rain dance, we physicists are firing trillion-watt lasers into the sky to actually precipitate rain clouds and actually bring down lightning bolts,” Kaku told CBS in a Sept. 2013 broadcast.
“This is potentially a game changer,” he said, adding, “It’s experimental; however, in the laboratory, so far, it works.”
Kaku went on to explain the process, saying,
“When you have water vapor and you have dust particles or ice crystals, you can precipitate rain. It condenses around the seeds. These seeds can also be created by laser beams. By firing trillion-watt lasers, you rip apart the electrons, creating what are called ions, and these ions act like seeds, like dust particles, bringing down rain and even lightning.”
The City College of New York theoretical physicist also touched on the CIA’s covert weather weapon program, which he says used weather manipulation “to bring down monsoons during the Vietnam War to wash out the Viet Cong.”
The controversial technique led to a United Nations treaty in 1977 barring the use of weather modification.
Posting to X on Wednesday, Rep. Greene argued, “‘They’ say this is disinformation. ‘They’ also say humans cause climate change. Is this not climate change?”
Greene’s doubling-down on her government weather modification claims came as Biden on Wednesday mentioned her by name.
“Now the claims are getting even more bizarre. Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene, a congresswoman from Georgia, is now saying the federal government is literally controlling the weather — we’re controlling the weather. It’s beyond ridiculous,” Biden said.
“It’s gotta stop. In moments like this, there are no red or blue states. Theres’s one United States of America, where neighbors are helping neighbors. Volunteers and first responders are risking everything, including their own lives to help their fellow Americans.”
Greene initially raised concerns about the government’s possible involvement in steering Hurricane Helene to affect the 2024 election in an Oct. 3 post stating, “Yes, they can control the weather.”
She also highlighted a library catalog of 1,026 weather modification entries on the NOAA government website — which the organization has reportedly been deleting as of late.
With extensive evidence documenting government weather experiments, the establishment’s attempts to downplay the subject are causing more people to wake up and learn the real truth.
